FAQs

Why should we book you?
You know, this is a very personal question that is all about YOU. I can't answer this question for you - only you can decide WHY you want to book me. But, I can tell you that I am passionate and feel things very deeply. I want you to FEEL emotion when you look back on your images years from now. I want you to feel the love, the importance, the magic I feel when I look back on my own memories. You deserve that feeling about yours. Your happiness is my happiness.
What's your style?
This question is always challenging because my style is a mix of different styles. I've spent years curating and cultivating a style that is my own. If I had to choose three words, they would be: authentic, bold, and emotive.

My approach is photojournalistic and candid with some gentle guidance. Details are everyyything - they are an important part of your story! You will receive a variety of images that authentically tells the story of your big day.
Okay, we vibe. When should we book you?
Venues and photographers are almost always booked first and they go fast. I used to recommend booking 9-12 months in advance, but truthfully...if there is a connection between us and you know you need me at your wedding, get on the books as soon as possible. It's one less thing for you to worry about and it increases your chances of me being available on your wedding date.
We want that spot! Now what?
I know this is probably a scary question, but it's an easy, straightforward process. All that's required to secure your date is a signed contract and retainer fee of 25% your total investment. An additional 25% is due halfway between booking and your wedding date, and the final balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding. Payment plans tailored to your needs are also available.
Awesome. Tell me about your gear.
I shoot dual bodied and wear a double harness, so you'll see me in a silly contraption. I like having both cameras in my hands for whatever I need. I shoot with professional Nikon equipment and have backups for my backups for my backups. You can never be too prepared.
Do you have favorite vendors you work with?
I do! Community is everything. Let me know what you're looking for and I will be happy to share a list of my faves.
My cousin got a camera for Christmas. Can she take pictures?
I know this is a hotly debated subject and every photographer will tell you something different - and that's okay! I can only share my personal view with you, which is...it's your WEDDING! Everyone is EXCITED!! Obviously I love taking photos and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. It FEELS GOOD to take photos. If Cousin Susie wants to use their camera at their wedding, they are more than welcomed to do so. All I ask is that they are respectful and do not interrupt my process, e.g. stepping in front of me during the ceremony (we want to see THE KISS! not Uncle Bob's head); hovering over my shoulder - totally fine to watch, just remember to give some breathing room. I move around A LOT and I don't want to accidentally bump them or cause a commotion because they're in the space that I need to be to perform my job; and lastly - they need to trust my process, skills, and creativity. Please do not pose or re-direct people while I'm posing them. I promise you I know what I'm doing. 😉

That said - if YOU do not want anyone taking photos, I support that. Just make sure everyone clearly knows ahead of time so they don't disregard your wishes.
What is your pricing?
Every wedding is unique. I have collections that have been the most popular with my clients, but my focus is on giving you a dream collection that is tailored to your needs. If one of the popular collections hits all the marks? Awesome! If not, we'll build one together.

I LOVVVE traveling! Local weddings begin at $2000. Elopements begin at $1200. Travel + destinations are available for an additional fee.
Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes, primarily. Weddings that are 6 hours or more automatically include an additional photographer. Engagement sessions, elopements, and weddings under 6 hours are solo, unless another photographer is added on. I have photographed a plethora of large weddings solo, and while I am fully capable, confident, and enjoy it, life is always better with friends.
We are so excited! When do we get our goods?
Highlights will be posted on social media within 48 hours of the wedding. Your final gallery will be delivered via online gallery six weeks from your wedding date and includes a Print Release that allows you to have your images printed at a lab of your choosing. You are more than welcome to use my professional lab, but I do not require it. Please note, if you choose to print elsewhere, I cannot be held liable for poor quality, improper coloring, or anything else related to the printing of your goods at that lab. Items purchased from my professional lab are quality guaranteed.
